A Single Page To Complete a Refund

Barn2Door has simplified the entire Refund Experience to a single page for a given purchase. All variables associated with a given purchase are itemized for individual selection. Any given variable/item may be included or excluded from a refund. This means, whether it is a one-time purchase or a subscription, it is easy to Refund a Buyer.

Applies to Any Form of Purchase

Regardless of how you choose to sell your Farm products, or how a Buyer chooses to purchase them, you can apply a refund on any form of Purchase. Barn2Door has done the heavy engineering lift of separating a “Purchase” from the actual “Orders” – which is especially important for subscriptions.

For instance, your Farm can refund a single “Order” of a 10-week subscription “Purchase” (e.g. CSA Box). Best of all, your Farm’s Pick-and-Pack lists will update automatically to adjust quantities accordingly based on any refunds. This means, if one week’s order of a subscription gets damaged in delivery, such as a carton of eggs, it is easy to refund for that one week, and not affect the rest of the subscription.

Delivery Fees, Promos, Tips and Taxes

All the associated costs of a given purchase may be addressed individually, and/or adjusted separately. This provides your Farm with ultimate flexibility when choosing to refund specific costs such as delivery fees, promos, and tips, and the option to refund them individually as well. Taxes will automatically adjust based on the tax-categorization of a given product.

Inventory Return to Stock

Unlike consumer products which can generally be returned to stock, many Farm products are perishable and may or may not be available for resell. Your Farm can make an assessment for every individual product. Best of all, your inventory counts will adjust automatically based on your determination. If you do have a product, such as a jar of honey, that gets refunded, your store inventory will automatically update so you don’t miss out on potential sales in the process.

A Single Merchant Account for Online & In-Person Purchases

All monies for any given refund are managed from a single Merchant Account. Whether your Farm has sold products online (web page, mobile device, email, or social media), or in-person (farm store, markets, delivery, or pickup), the money is automatically collected and/or deducted from your Barn2Door Merchant Account.


While many Farms may use a different vendor for the Point-of-Sale, or for managing Subscriptions, Barn2Door Accounts can manage all their Purchases (and Refunds) from a single solution. There are no additional costs to utilize the Barn2Door Subscriptions or the Barn2Door POS Application.

Simplify Refunds with Store Credits

Now, your Farm can refund a transaction that was originally made using a card payment to Store Credits. This will simplify the process of refunding the payment, and allow for funds to remain with the merchant. This capability is available for both Registered Accounts and Guest customers - which ensures that your Farm keeps monies in hand. Guest customers will be prompted to redeem Store Credits in a similar way, as if they were gifted them (by creating an account and providing a code). This update will further streamline the Barn2Door Refund Experience.
