Barn2Door Pick and Pack Lists Just got Better

At Barn2Door, we constantly ask ourselves what capabilities we can offer Farmers to help them increase sales, access more customers, and save time.  One of the most widely used, biggest time-saving tools we’ve built are the One-Click Pick and Pack Lists.

From the Pick and Pack lists, Farmers have the ability to view, export and/or print a Pick List (for gathering or harvesting), Pack List (ideal for filling delivery trucks and itemized orders per customer), Packing Labels (to affix to bags/boxes for delivery or pickup), Receipts and Invoices. Farmers can view or print information based on specific pickup locations, delivery zones, Buyer Types and Farm Responsible; Farmers can print all, some or individual invoices and receipts.

Farmers can view and / or print Pick and Pack lists on one day or across multiple days (up to a 7 day range). This is especially useful if the Farm is picking or packing for multiple days of deliveries, pickups or Farmers Markets.

This feature enables Farmers to stay super organized and efficient on Delivery day, with a list of orders by customers and location, and easy one-click to print labels, receipts and invoices.

We love building software to help Farmers successfully run their businesses. Here is a great description of the One-Click Pick & Pack Lists:

And, we took it up a notch, giving Farms even more control over what they want to view (or not view) and print (or not print!).

Pick & Pack Lists just Got Better:

1. Mobile-Friendly Viewing of ‘real-time’ Pick and Pack Lists

Pick and Pack lists could always be downloaded and printed, but now Farms can elect not to download, and instead simply “open” their Pick and Pack lists right on their computer or phone. Pick and Pack lists are current, meaning they reflect in real-time any changes to orders (e.g. refund, void, new order or change in location).

2. Print Pack Labels, Receipts, and Invoices

All the individual receipts, invoices and labels of a given Pack List are now provided in a collated PDF. Farmers can choose to print all, some, or individual receipts, invoices and labels as needed. This will save Farmers a tremendous amount of time when preparing packages for delivery and pick-up.

Farmers can print or view Pick & Pack lists; we have built in flexible controls so Farmers can view or print the information they need and prefer including for relevant farm hands, collaborators and/or drivers. Farmers can filter and hide columns and information not relevant to their needs.

We’re thrilled to help Farmers save time and maximize efficiencies for delivery day. Gaining more visibility into the order management process, customizing list formats to meet individual needs, and seamlessly exchanging information via email will be a game-changer and save Farmers a tremendous amount of time while planning upcoming deliveries.

At Barn2Door, we’re focused on building tools that help Farmers win. We’re proud to provide the software and the services to help Farmers Grow and Manage direct sales. If you’re curious how we could help your Farm increase sales, access more customers, and save time, watch this 5-minute video.
